The Observer

by Orvar Atli Porgeirsson

The combination of clear skies, snowy foreground and highly active Aurora is a rare thing in Iceland but it makes a great shot. Taken on Mosfellsheiði, between Reykjavík and Þingvellir.

very nice shot of a unique occurrence. everything seems to fall in place and this captures creates a really good mood even with including the viewer in the scene. I do like the stars but I don’t know if its my impression some of them look out of place.

Great job. I only hope to one day capture such a breath taking scene like this. I like the stars. Ans the colors are fabulous. I would be very proud of this shot. However, it looks aweful cold there. And it makes you feel very small in perspective. Thanks for sharing.
