back-lit butterfly wings are beautiful
Excellent! Though composition wise I dont like all the empty space in the upper right half, the overall composition is quite good. very good pose. I know how difficult it is to capture these skittish creatures and you did a very good job.
I would like to know the focal length, F and shutter numbers and the iso. Did you dial in any exposure compensation or is it straight from the matrix meter, - if you can oblige
Thanks for sharing.
Butterflies don’t pose so to get one in the right position with the right light is quite an achievement. We have had a very wet summer so far in Ireland so there have been very few butterflies. Where is global warming when you need it?
Good one, however I am not sure if I need to agree with Anurag on the right part of the image.
Might also add to the butterfly to have the right part really empty…
Yeah I must agree, when you get such beauty in front of just shoot and get some safe shots however once done I would try to experiment with different angles. maybe you have tried doing so but this creature moved away. I like the shot and the angle but I would have burned the background a little bit to get the subject more attention.
Such divine beauty.
Brings to mind a lovely quote:
“The butterfly of the soul must be freed to spread its wings of beautiful divine qualities.”

Muy linda foto; los esperamos en Argentina. Aquí también hay mariposas!
That’s a light subject for a serious person.

It must have taken a lot of patience to capture this shot. You did a grand job.
The color scheme is beautiful, with green and white and many shades of brown.
I thought this picture was awesome! I too thought the fading on the right added more contrast and focus to the subject. Great job future professional.
really exquisite - a wonderful, natural and extraordinary picture that brings me closer to the world of butterfly - you are truly an artist.
Way to go Mike !!!!

Very pretty! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for sharing God’s beauty with us. It’s an awesome picture. You’ve got quite a talent here.
Stunning. I like the muted background with the sharpness of the butterfly. What a natural beauty to capture. Bravo!
Great job Mike! This is an outstanding shot and I am sure just the beginning of the many that we will see from you. Keep up the impressive work!!
Awesome Photo! Subject is very clear with great detail. Thanks for sharing, Mike!
Amazing! Just amazing.
I think the composition is great. Having the butterfly off-center is more interesting than having it smack in the middle of the shot.
