The more common reference is to the difference image seen in the view finder of rangefinder cameras (esp. at close distances) and the actual image captured by the Film, - because the two lenses are a little distances apart. Part of the image seen in the view finder is not captured by the Shooting lens. The other meaning, what I reffered to is vertical perspective or Keystone correction, which is easily corrected by the Lens distortion filter in PS. I hope this answers your question.
