Really a very unusual view, and a real challange for the viewer. I had a tough time figuring out what I was looking at until I read your description. Please tell us more about the ruins.
How come there is a pinkish cast lower down and yellow above?
Great use of the wide angle lens and low to high perspective.
Interesting capture. The warming effect really works well especially in places like this however I think it would have gotten better colors if shot during sundown or sunrise. I love this type of color which is very much present here in Malta too. It gives the sensation of warmth and protection. Great shot Tad.
Ted, I do admire your work. Stylish, as always. Great shot!
This is a very nice picture. I must agree the pattern is very interesting.
Thanks for the feedback. These ruins are about 80ft high above the canyon on slick rock. They are hidden from the sun so sunrise and sunset doesn’t cast much (if any) of a glow, but presents some dark shadow challenges. The light you see is reflected light off the canyon walls into this overhang. Hope this helps!
Great picture! I love the colors and the evidence of a human presence there many centuries ago. Thanks for sharing!
I am in awe of the workmanship, labor & sweat that went into these structures, particularly the roof.
We complain about building a 60m.wall for our driveways!
This is a great photo. I love the colors, the look of the rock above the houses is caught just right. This is my favorite color to paint walls. Really to paint anything. Thanks EZ
Wonderful colors and composition highlighting the contrast of textures. There’s also a great temporal question addressed–the longlasting mark man can make on earth.
I’m a roofer, but I’m not sure how to fix that.
This is a very interesting picture; I didn’t even know there were ruins in Utah.
wow thats so cool, really earthy. doesnt get much more earthshot than that! could even be mars shot…
Seen this shot before but this one is the best,
Very cool pattern it left behind.
