I win!
Thats some thick fog. The only place on earth I’ve ever seen anything like that was in San Francisco. Where on Earth was this?

WOW, What a cloud cover!
Composition wise the tree is just a little too much towards the edge, though it doesn’t hurt much in any significant way.
Good “Earthshot”
Wow . . . It is stunning shot, it must be heaven. What a great shot it is and where did you find spot to stand and capture this shot?
This is south Poland, Mountains Pieniny, at third view the Tatras
This is one of the most beautiful things I have seen! Where is it? Great job!
I took a similar photo looking down on the San Joaquin Valley in California. The ‘tule fog’ there is often so thick you can’t see the end of the hood of your car–hence the 100-car pile-ups on I-5. Seems we can find familiar sights the world over. This is georgeous! btw…I wasn’t aware there was a comment contest. Congrats, Tom.
Where IS this place?
What a marvelous composition! I love the way you force the tree to the edge allowing the distant mountain to draw the eye across the misty valley to the upper right corner as a balancing weight! Very insightful and just the sort of work that National Geographic looks for in their photographers.
It’s like a Postcard; from where I don’t know; but sooo beautiful.
I guess this must be Poland; people don’t realize how beautiful it is.
This is in Poland - Pieniny (mountains) nearby Szczawnica (city). On the photo you can see also Tatra Mountains on the horizon.
Just beautiful thick fog…. I like it.
Nice Job…..
Just like a blanket - so thick and white!
The fog does make this scene very dream like …A very balanced composition too.
