This is the most splendid photograph I have seen yet. The rich green on the river mingling with the dimmer green, it’s reflection, is simply wonderful. The clouds seem to pull out their colours from the cream and bluish gray house! Such dramatic motion from the clouds as well! Fantastic Job Philippe!

Wonderfully evocative photo. Thank you.

As glorious as this photo is, I have a hard time believing that the reality of the moment looked anything like this. I certainly love Photoshop and what it can do for us. (And I do not think that photos must look exactly like what the eye sees) but sometimes the ease by which the computer transforms ordinary wonder to dream-like wonder takes away from the impact. This particular photo pushes beyond my sense of credibility.

Having written what I just wrote, I wish I could take it back. Not because I have changed my mind, but because I hate being so critical. I have visited your site, and am amzazed by your range, and sense of color. (I really liked the Poloroids) With and without the computer, you have a powerful sense of artistry.

Exquisite! “Kingdom of Desire” has all the qualities of a renaissance painting. The dreamy artist’s light makes me look at it again and again. Many thanks to Philippe Sainte-Laudy.

Very nice shot indeed. Most of all the clarity of the chateaux. The bright clear bush and the reflection on the lake. Was it sunset or sunrise to get this shot. The lighting looks really good not too aggressive and too low. great job

Is that the castle found on the cover of countless romance novels?

Really a fairy tale setting.
I love the light and the clouds. Maybe the color cast adds to the mood.

This is absolutely beautiful. My daughter says it looks like a painting from a story. There have been gorgeous shots on this site, but I think this is my favorite so far! Wonderful job!

I enjoyed studying this…where the reflection begins, the clouds, the castle itself, so much to look at! I wish we could see the photos BEFORE and AFTER Photoshop, if applicable…As others have said before, nature (for me, at least) needs no embellishment.

This is wonderful, imagination can certainly run amok with a setting like that. Is there a sleeping beauty locked in that tower?

I love the design of that house. Beautiful.
