Trichy Temple
by David Lazar
This photo is taken at the top of the 83m high Rock Fort - the only outcrop in the otherwise flat land of the city of Trichy in Tamil Nadu, India. Looking back down towards the hazy city, we see another decorative Hindu temple.
Equipment: Nikon D70s

I’m a photographer from Brisbane, Australia - and one of the joys for me (outside my musical profession) is travelling and capturing moments of life and beauty through photography.
My favourite styles of photography: Portraiture and landscape. Also, in general, I prefer shots which contain an element of ‘cannot be captured exactly again’; that is expressive people shots, action shots and any scenario with a unique aspect to it.

One of the coolest photos I have ever seen

  3. Kirk Jordan Says:

Wowzer. This looks at once like a toy or a movie set from Middle Earth. (or .. an artistic portrayl of life imitating art!)

  4. Madhav Madhav Says:

Oh man, this is some serious stuff. you have a great vision..

  5. Anurag Anurag Says:

This is terrific, almost looks like a Martian landscape. For once the blown out highlights are adding to the drama. Great composition, great choice of focal length.
    Cheers!!

  6. Pauline Jones Pauline Jones Says:

  7. Ahmed Sharif Says:

WOW, WOW!!….. this looks like the landscape found in a Star Wars movie!!….. hard to believe that is was shot in Earth!!….. great work!!….. all the best!!

  8. Malta Photography Malta Photography Says:

Crystal clear shot. Hazy at the top very nice balancing of colors. I really fell in love with this photo. The bursting light at the top may be a little too aggressive but I still love this shot

    Impressive!

  10. Chris Says:

    very nice pic but
    why is it all foggy?

  11. Thomas Blackmore Says:

    just perfect

  12. Rich Says:

Now that is a stunner. The blue-green of the temple really picks it out of the rest of the red and the haze/sunrise combo is a winner. Only thing here is i think it would look (even) better if you lopped a bit of the right off - wasted space imo.

  13. RAMANATHAN Says:
