Vertigo
by Lakshmi
He/she was a bit edgy with me and camera around. Of course the beetle can fly small distances, but it was cute the way he stood his ground(bud) and refused to move till I was gone!

I am totally taken in by photography as a medium. Photography allows you to look at the world in totally different perspective, trains your eyes to see the world in better light and look for beauty in the most unexpected of places. It is indeed very surprising that so much can be learnt and understood about our world just by freezing a frame for a fraction of a second.

I just looked at your Flickr site. I think you see hues beyond the spectrum. Your whole site sang with all manner of vibrant color.

Those are really electric colors. Really nice.
The red color of the plant is really balancing the overall color scheme.

What a nice shot and the colors are just wonderful. I like the slight angle and the DOF makes a really good effect. The reddish part also falls well into the composition. Most of all I like the clarity of the insect.

I love the challenge of macro; it is difficult to get right as the depth of field is so narrow and bugs tend to fly away while you are lining up the shot. But this is a technical success and the colors are striking.

I am utterly amazed at the quality and depth of this photo..it just proves you don’t need to be ‘L-Series’ qualified to deliver such beauty…
This is what I aspire to, Im nowhere near yet, but one day, if I keep dreaming I may well get a shot on here……keep up the good work.

the varied hues of green that you have captured excites the senses.. such perception..of beauty.. and captured with brilliance. The water droplets on the bug, the reflective glossy black and the muted look of the red make this picture an absolute delight.
