The angle of the shot is really correct, also the exposure is giving a nice mathching colors for the green and the brown, also the water flowing is giving motion to the shot, I think if there is a faded couple of human in the background it will add more life effect and will be more strong . well done

  2. Chris Chris Says:

I think I can see an elf!

  3. Anurag Says:

Very pristine environment. One doesn’t get to see much these days. The white balance is a bit off though, too much yellow, though some may like it this way. Gives it a kind of timeless look. Cropping out half of the rock in the center of the stream on the left is not very visually apealing.
On the whole a worthy Earthshot.

  4. Ahmed Sharif Says:

really nice exposure…… like the tone and the colours in the shot…….

  5. Malta Photography Malta Photography Says:

It is a very nice shot all seems very well placed but it looks surreal I guess you have some extra color temperature and contrast which might need to be reduced a little. I mean it is a very nice shot overall but I sense it is a little over retouched.

What an enchanting scene. The light is well suited to the content of the pic. The mood you have captured is fantastic, warm and mysterious and evokes a sense of adventure. I love the green and brown highlights, and the silky water, all well matched together to create the fantasy. A picture which is almost unreal. Beautiful… well done!

    nice!

Of course- everyone already said that but it remains true - I love the consistent color theme. The bridge is also amazing in this picture : its presence gives some horizontal structure to the shot, but it still blends real well in the environment since it is made of wood and has the same colors. The whole thing, because of the bridge which goes almost horizontally but not quite, and the river which goes “out of the picture” make your shot look like it’s in 3 dimensions ! The presence of the stone in the foreground and the far right tree also help to give this impression. Really nice work ! Bien sûr il n’y qu’en Alsace qu’on trouverait ces couleurs là :) ! VIve la France :P ,

This is a very nice composition. The slow shutter speed results in a pretty water effect. I find the image a bit too saturated on the yellow side, although it does result in a bit of an old photo effect.

  11. Marie Dunphy Harding Says:

A bit overpowering , transparent even, but a beautiful shot!

  12. Renee Says:

Looking at this photo really looks like a fun place to be..the bridge looks awesome in this shot..not to crazy about how the water looks but still a good photo! :)

This is pretty, and I love the moss on the rocks! Nice job Philippe, et bon chance! ;)

While I agree that it’s a bit over-saturated for mainstream photography, I di think it makes a beautiful impact if you’re aiming for an art audience. I can see this used in a children’s book, or as a poster. It’s enchanting.
    Very nice work!
