An interesting shot. It looks quite abstract. I like the close angle and the backdrop overall.
Are you sure they are Ice shards?!!
The use of color is interesting; it all looks very cold.
wow! nice pic
I love the earthy colors.
Interesting looking Ice!
The colorful pieces of ice make me wonder if parts of the sky have broken off and landed in the river. So….there is rain, snow and shards of sky.
What a great photo! It doe not look like ice which makes it even more better!! well done!
I am curious about how this ice formed. Was it on the water surface then knocked in by waves, or was it on top of flat rocks (?) just before the water’s edge, and then knocked in. Either way it is a most puzzling phenomenon, and an excellent observation.
Thanks Everyone i appreciate the comments.
What happens is, Ice begins to break up and gets pushed into piles along the shoreline.
I knew I recognized the area- I’m from Duluth, and have seen the ice like this before. Amazing, huh?
Great shot.
Lovely shot! I’ve witnessed the shards of ice along lake shores, and I love when the wind pushes them together, and they tinkle like wind chimes!
Shawn: This is MAGNIFICENT!! I really like your vision…;)
Really looks like glass. The tiles just behind add to this impression.
this is fabulous!!……. the title gives a bit of a surprise, but when the title matches with the photo, it gives even more surprise!…… and the perspective is great, which makes the shards more prominent……. great take!
Very nice! The ice indeed looks like glass a lot.
Thanks again everyone.
very nice
Haunting.
Love the angle of these shards of ice.
