What a good picture ! The sky and the ground blend in together real well around the blurry horizon, especially color-wise. The color of the lake is really interesting, and the patterns of the surroundings are really good too ! I don’t know if I like the wing, because the shot would have seemed much more mysterious without it on one hand. But it sure doesn’t kill that excellent shot !

Amazing graphic quality. Would have been nice if you had included an explaination about the geometrical structures. Looks like a snow covered city (Which one?). But what about frozen serpentine tracks. Rivers?
The wings works well, for me.

Interesting picture, what are those rectangles and why don’t they follow the contours of the land?

3rd May 2008 at 10:28 am

Very original. Well taken, well composed with the airplanewing still visible in the righthandside.

Really its a nice shot, I would have loved if knew the place and the rectangular features on the ground.

Lovely shot Karen. More explanation about the landscape for those of us who have never been to Canada would be great. Is it snow covered, or is it ice – what month?

I think the wing makes the shot.

Nice art piece, but it doesn’t look like a natural photo.

It looks like an alien landscape with all the quarters sectioned like some futuristc farming on some far flung planet.

Great picture!

The square lines are roads, on a mile grid and the closer ones are probably tree lines. it looks like it was talken in late February. Frozen lake and some snow. Bottom of the lake is swamp and smaller lakes. Land is flat as a pancake. Manitoba Geography 101.

great use of a monotone scene . Has an almost sci fi feeling to it , but the wing brings tthe viewer right back to reality . Great shot !

Ever changing? Seems to me it’s generally covered with ice & snow. Good image.
