MY first real travel expedition was in 1997 across Scandinavia. But the funny story is, that I have just a small automatic camera and couple of films. Next trip in 1998 to Spain and Portugal was very similar.
The change cam in 1999 when I found a father old Praktica camera from East Germany. I start make a slide's and just a try a discover how work the light! The real big change come in 2000 when I buy my very first real Nikon camera whit two good lens. All was just a start, because my first travel report in some magazine was printed in 2001, but nothing special. Next year 2002 I leave the Slovakia and move to London. Just for couple of mounts. Learn the English and save some money. After all I fly to New Zealand and that was great. Almost all year, not only travel - but I visit many amazing places. From land of kiwi bird I fly to Australia and make a trip from Sydney do Darwin.
In 2003 I come back to home and start the journalist career. The first jobs was in small local Bratislava newspaper Vecernik, but after short time I move to lifestyle magazine Markiza, where I start write a travel story's. After year I move to biggest publishing house 7 PLUS where I have a job like travel writer for lifestyle magazine Brejk. In 2006 start in our company the daily newspaper Plus 1 den, where I am from first minute.
Travel is my lifestyle and hobby - also the work. So I am lucky man. At this time I visit 66 countries around the world. But I hope, that this is still just start!

Many thank for your comment. This picture I made in Bolivia in december 2007. On the biggest salt desert on the Earth – Salar de Uyuni. The secret is a water on ground, because 1 day before my visit was a big storm and the water going very slowly to salt. And combination whit white desert and blue sky is perfect mirror… more my pictures from bolivia you can find on my web http://www.ivantravelphoto.com in travel report

Many thanks again for all your comment. And for IVANA: I love traveling and my first big trip was in summer 1997 – Scandinavia. But I hope, that this is still just a start. And nobody believe me – that in firts two years I dont taka any pictures. I start learn photography in 1999 and first couple of year was all this just like expensive hobby.
