Kalahari Meerkat

A meerkat surveys the landscape of Botswana's Kalahari Desert just before settling down for the night. Using a wide-angle lens I was able to capture the meerkat in its natural surroundings.

Amazing how close you are to him. You must have spent a lot of time with them to gain this confidence. I like the tall twigs of grass right in front of the Meerkat. Looks like a discourse, between Lord and and his disciple. specially see posture of the hands.

What makes this picture out of the ordinary is the Meerkat and the clouds are both pointing towards the same point into the distant horizon as if farewelling the end of another day.
