This photo is one of the best, if not the best, photos I have seen on EarthShots. The colour of the sky is magnificent, and the blues in the mountains, water and sky are spectacular! The light is fantastic. This is a truly amazing shot.

Beautiful shot, but the sky doesn’t fit with the water/landscape. Looks like it was cloned in.

Dear Philippe,
“Completely amazing!” “Astonishing.” “I can’t believe it’s real.” These are just some of the things my mother and I said when we saw this phenomenal image.
That this photo is a straightforward capture and not “Photoshop-ed” to the perfect composition we see before us; is a testament to the lense of your eye – for seeing the perfect moment of harmony to record in the frame of your camera. Congratulations, this is an awe-inspiring piece.

Have you thought about blowing it up to poster size and selling it? Or entering it into a photo competition? Or filing it with a major photo-library? Or donating a copy to your local old folks home – or somewhere where more people will get to enjoy it? (Just a few thoughts for you that fired into my mind when I saw this.) Whatever you choose to do with your compositions, please keep sharing them! It brings us joy.

Lovely picture but very blue, is this a little under exposed?

10th March 2008 at 11:25 am

Wonderful, and your website has more great images on. Is this an HDR image?

10th March 2008 at 2:30 pm

After a long time a photograph where the water doesn’t look like the Sky pasted upside down!

15th March 2008 at 12:47 am

Awesome with such an intense sky!
