Basking Sea Lions
by Jenny Carter
It is a common sight along the beaches of the many Galapagos Islands to see sea lions that are basking in the sun, in close body contact with their neighbours. It provides wonderful photographic opportunities.
Equipment: Pentax 8ist, Sigma 70-200mm lens, monopod.

I love wildlife photography, it is a fun hobby. I was fortunate enough to travel to the Galapagos Islands last year which was an incredible experience.

A lovely shot. Very natural looking, I find it very appealing with the focus concentrated on the subjects with no clutter in the frame. Congrats.

Nice shot, but I find the overexposed parts in the picture distracting.

It’s nice to know that these creatures are in the wild and not in a zoo.

Awwwwwwww…sleep away our last little treasures, and remain safe. Someday, I may be graced by visiting this place, but perhaps its best that I never do, actually.

Its good to know that their’s people who actually care for the animals and that actually care for them as in to feed them get them fixed when they’re sick because they’re harmless
