April 2004. After decades of war, children are back to school in Kabul. Classrooms have been created in a section of a bombed building.

Thank you for sharing this wonderful photograph of these beautiful children! I am going to show this to my high school students in the morning! I would love to hear more about the educational experience these precious young students are having because this setting looks quite desperate!

Very simple and straight to the point image. I really like the natural colors of the clothing and the way it has been brought out.

Hi everybody… thank you for your comments.
We were back in Afghanistan in 2005 and the situation was exactly the same in Kabul and even worse in rural areas.
Anyway things are changing recently, it’s getting very unsafe for the children to go to school, so the situation is deteriorating rapidly.

I LOVE children. They are each a prayer. And I mean a prayer to the creator. Resilient is an unstatment. I hate the things we do to children. And We expect them to keep going on. GREAT SHOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EZ
