Very strong and inspirational image. Any idea how the education system is since 2004?

Thank you for sharing this wonderful photograph of these beautiful children! I am going to show this to my high school students in the morning! I would love to hear more about the educational experience these precious young students are having because this setting looks quite desperate!

Very simple and straight to the point image. I really like the natural colors of the clothing and the way it has been brought out.

  7. Pauline Jones Pauline Jones Says:

When they grow up these kids won’t worry about where they got their education, they’ll just be glad they have one.

  8. Gianluca Says:

Hi everybody… thank you for your comments.
We were back in Afghanistan in 2005 and the situation was exactly the same in Kabul and even worse in rural areas.
Anyway things are changing recently, it’s getting very unsafe for the children to go to school, so the situation is deteriorating rapidly.

  9. Renee Renee Says:

    well said!

  10. Eileen Eileen Says:

I LOVE children. They are each a prayer. And I mean a prayer to the creator. Resilient is an unstatment. I hate the things we do to children. And We expect them to keep going on. GREAT SHOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EZ

  11. Tommy Says:

Are those bullet pockmarks on the wall? If so, I think that’s worth mentioning.

  12. Gianluca Says:

Yes Tommy… the holes on the wall are from the bullets..

  13. Tex Says:

Yes its so sweet. I see a story in each face. Great Job

  14. Ann Says:

And these are among the luckier ones.

  15. Marie Says:

    Faces of Terror & Innocence.
A sad reminder to all of us of the fearful lives these children have.
and WE complain about our Education System!

  16. Rama Raju Says:

Such innocent faces looking forward to learn their lessons.

For some reason I don’t really like group shots like this one, but I guess it’s technically well taken.
