What An Evening
by Joel Schenk
A lone explorer pauses and soaks in the views while Mt. Foraker looms in an array of clouds some 14 miles away. With almost 24 hours of daylight, this post 23:00hr shot could have been handheld, but I opted for my Gitzo as the telephoto lens was pushed to 100mm. Image captured from 14K camp in early June 2007. Denali National Park, Alaska.
Equipment: Nikon N80, Fuji Velvia 100
Joel Schenk
Outdoorsy type that likes to carry a camera around. Hopefully when nature presents itself on those special occations, I can capture a few frames.

I have been to Denali and witnessed the awesome Mt. McKinley (or Mt. Denali as most people prefer). I have only witnessed this awesome mountain from a distance. What a sight this is! Good picture!

What an evening it must have been. It is an awesome sight. The grandeur, majesty and isolation is very apparent from this shot. I would love to breathe some of that what looks like clean and pure air.
