Amazing!!! How wonderful it must have been to see this glorious sight! Truly fantastic shot, and a sight of a lifetime!
Great shot! How did you get such phenomenal clarity throughout the depth of the shot?
Woot, spree coming ![]()
too much for me !
Wonderful. But don’t you think it would have been a much better shot if you had used a GND filter? In that case you might have better mountains!
Just a Fantastic Shot. The subject is very well placed all over
I would have given some more temperature to the colors though.
Thanks for bringing us an image of a place that most of us will never go. As for the color temperature, be careful that the beaks and chests don’t come out too orangey.
What a crowd !!!! I just love this image, looks like they are having a big important meeting.
Wow, What a Shot!
It is great to see something that I will never have the opportunity to view in person. Great work
Its the march of the Penguins nice photo!
why some penguins look the same?
This just leaves one to say “Oh my god!” You are so fortunate to have witnessed this.
Thank you for sharing.
Wow, this is spectacular! Great effort. I’m sure you enjoyed your trip.
This must have been a very spectacular sight also a very smelly one.I love penguins but oh boy they are niffy.En masse like this I would imagine a nose peg would have been welcome.Anyway, it is an amazing sight.Truely amazing. Thank you .
Sian, was this a noisy photo shoot? I can’t imagine the thrill of looking out over such a huge population of penguins. You’ve captured the experience beautifully.
wooooooooooooooooooo. now thats a battalion of the 1st calvary. haha.
Crazy ! But a sharp shot too. The background is excellent. It is beautiful to see all these penguins on your shot, but was probably even better to see them in reality (and hear them too, what a cacophony it must have been :p ). That tells you how procreative Nature is. And the craziest of all is that the husband always finds his wife even in this crowd of almost all identical penguins - they use their call, which is different for every single penguin (which is why penguins must have an excellent hearing to discern their partner in such a crowd and why it must have been a terrific cacophony out there).
Wow. Mind blowing.
Oh my - talk about overcrowding - that is unbelievable! Thanks for sharing!!
Goodness Me !!!
This is an ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE SHOT…
Great Work…
wow…very crowded…
and also very nicely post-processed…
i love this shot!
i love bird! (penguins are considered as birds, right?hahaha!) ^_^
cheers!
What a sight to behold!!
Technically , you could have used a polarizer to saturate the colors. but full marks for a fantastic photo.
Cheers!
Excellent. This reminds me of the fantastic series “Planet Earth”. This IS crowded!
Good shot.
I heard penguins were having trouble due to global warming. Glad to see they seem to be doing OK here.
HOLY PENGUIN!!!
This is astounding! What a view for the rest of us, and let us hope they remain safe and well during the imminent changes to our World. Be safe and March Penguins!!
heheheh, that’s just rich! Well done
March of the penguins! I wish to see this sight someday!
