Kalopa Rainbow

I got this photograph on my way to a friends house. A storm moved over the Hawaiian Isle chain this past week causing floods and power outages but in the mist of the storm there always comes beauty. This rainbow only appeared for about a minute but i was able to capture before it vanished.

I specially like(besides the rainbow of course) The vanishing point formed by the cloud formations, pointing towards the center of the rainbow circle, and the echo of the same in the triangular formation of the red vegetation.
BTW How wide is your lense?

I had to look up “Kalopa” to find out it is the name of a State Park in Hawaii.

Great shot! Usually rainbows appear on the opposite side of the sky from the sun. Does anyone know why this rainbow appears on the same side of the sky as the sun?
