White Gold

Taken at a local park in late afternoon, where several of these white maple leaves were scattered around. I liked the contrast between the gold coloured leaves and the paleness of the white leaf.

Very elegently composed. Would have been even better had the few twigs of green grass been hidden below the dried leaves

Beautiful colors. I actually like the touches of green in the grass, although a more even distribution would have been more satisfying.

I love the green grass peeking through the leaves. And the purple of the veins coming out above the white gold. Great shot. EZ

All the colors (purple, white, red, green, brown, blue) go together very nicely. Excellent composition, congrats on POTD.

Very, very nice and very artistic. Did you plant the light leaf there or was this how you found it? Either way, it is a picture perfect.

thank you all for your comments, they are very much appreciated, glad you like it. Pieter, i moved a leaf off the maple leaf so that it was all visible, other than that, this is how i found it.

I wrote quickly, reading random comments and missing yours above my previous one. Looking at the leaf again, now i’m sure it’s a grey poplar leaf. (They should be called silver, not the silver maple!)
