Junco

Hungry after a long cold night, this energetic little fellow showed up at my feeder with about twenty of its kin on the morning of our first snowfall.

Nice capture. The background really ads to the wintery feel with a touch of snow on the branch.

It’s brightness lends clarity in details of the bird and the way it perches, and fluffs. You can look into his eyes. So clear, one can feel the cold! Nice shot.

Nobody has ever heard of a Junco. I had to look it up to see what it was.
