If this is as is and no lightning strikes have been added/then it is a superb shot. Full of “power” and impact. EXCELLENT.

This is by far one of the best “earthshots” till date. It really shows mother earth in all her grandeur. Pl. give us some Metadata Don. For example How long was the exposure, ISO, NR, NDfilter etc. How did you go about setting up the tripod etc. thanks.

Have the colors been altered digitally to make the sky purple?

Amazing!! This is/was the most exquisite example of nature’s beauty, complexity, fury, and capacity for great destruction, captured in time perfectly by the visoneer. I was intrigued and drawn in, and very much impressed.

Don, You say that you have been attempting to capture lightning. Correction you capture lightning pics. This photograph is spectacular. Luck has nothing to do with it. You put your self exactly where you needed to be to capture your passion.

Brilliant!!

Superb. You mention your luck was with you. True – but so was a bit of skill!
