Desert Playground

by Matthew Kadey

In all my world travels I have seen few places more captivating and stunning than Wadi Rum in southern Jordan. The colors, the Bedouins, the red rocks towering out of the sand and the wide open space make for a very special place.
Equipment: Canon 20D, Sigma 12-24mm, trusty polarizer

Nice shot but you talk about the lovely, red colors and then give us a black and white picture

better shot, indeed a landscape!

Yeah, the shot is nice but I have to agree with Pauline. You talk about all the great colors and you show us a black & white picture ???

Beautiful image, rich with texture, composition, contour and the black and white is so artistic.

So very well seen and done!

Nice shot/maybe a little short on tonal range. Seems a tad flat for a black and white..

Think I would have preferred to see the colour version. Maybe the portrait orientation makes the landscape too short, just my 2 cents worth..

Eerily haunting.

Liked the b/white shot but I suspect the colour version would be great.
