Balancing Act

With an aplomb that any dancer might envy, these geese napped on one foot while the rest of us were scrambling to keep civilization afloat the morning after last week's storm knocked out power to Cortes Island.

It takes a lot of patience and ability of notation to take a shot like this. very good shot. it must have been cold out there

Thanks for all the kind words every one!
It was cold, and on top of that, my SD card was brimming full so I had to spend as much time chimping and deleting stuff from earlier on as I spent actually shooting.
It seems that most good wildlife photographs are the result of a healthy portion of both luck and hard work.

I f the purpose of using a camera is to capture those special moments in time/then you have achieved that purpose with this shot. A delightful scene.

Great photo, I should imagine it was one of those photos that you rush to take and sometimes in haste get it it wrong, but you have had the presence of mind to make sure you got it right, focus and framing look spot on.
