That is a great shot. I guess with the use of a tripod. The front of the ant with the back un-focused gives such a great effect of deapth of field.

I’m very confused, to be an ant it must have 6 legs this is indisputable. I can count 8 legs, this is a spider, only arachnids have 8 legs but the rest of his body dictates that of an ant, most interesting species you’ve found…it is a spider, no question…where did you film this? Oh it’s a nice picture by the way

Thanks for all the nice compliments. This is an Ant Mimicking Jumping Spider. Because of their resemblance to ants, real ants will protect them from the enemy. One has to look very close to spot these little buggers – they really look and behave just like ants.

there was one in my house. i thought is was a spider. then i looked. it had THREE body parts! i was all like, OMFG!!! TAYLOR!!!! THERE IS AN EIGHT LEGGED ANT ON MY WALL!!! she was like, you mean a spider? and i was like NO! ITS AN ANT!!!!!! and she was like, wtf? and i was like, I KNOW RIGHT??? so i cut it in half and it was still moving. but then it died. THANK THE LORD!!!!
