Wow – I wonder where this is – it is massive. Quite a pattern that only mother nature can make. Beautiful!

Great shot with a dramatic angle

Yeah, good subject, but I dont like the sky to be 50% cloudy and 50% clear. If possible You could have tried to shift the view a little bit to the left maybe.

Thanks for all the nice comments. I didn’t expect to get this image shown on the site, but uploaded it anyway. The shot was taken at Bembridge harbour on the Isle of Wight. This particular stretch of land is on the opposite side of the causeway that creates the harbour and was reclaimed from the sea back in the mid 19th century. What you see is the silt left behind when the water dries up in the summer months. Thanks again.

Good on yer Keith. Just knew you’d get the hang of that 5D one day.

Well done and much deserved Keith, great image, Peter.

Just to add to my previous comment Keith. Your being picked as photo of the day is even more impressive when you care to look at previous entries. Take a look at the qualifications of the photographer that took the ‘bathing’ shot. Again – well done, great image. Alan

Very nice. Wanted to take exactly such a picture in Death Valley last year, but we weren’t allowed to take the campervan into the Valley.
