Evolution River
by Scott Hotaling
After a fairly intense hike along this gorge, I discovered a beautiful paradise between two waterfalls with this odd geological formation being the icing on the cake. With the early morning fog lifting, it was a truly magical spot.
Equipment: Canon 30D with Sigma 17-70 f/2.8, Polarizer
Scott Hotaling
Wild light and beautiful wilderness, I hope you enjoy my images. I go to great lengths to capture nature at her most beautiful moments.

I really like to experiment with running water and slow shutterspeeds myself aswell. The milky effect you get is what I love. I like this picture a lot. Where was it taken? Is the Sigma 17-70 nice to handle? I myself use the Canon 24-70mm f2.8L USM or the Canon 17-40mm f4L USM for shots like this.

the earth actually swallowing all that water!! There is a similar pit in Pokhra Nepal where the water falls into a pit and disappears into an underground river. Quite a sight
