Not only are you a great photographer, you are also incredibly brave, and as you said, "calm." Your photo is unique and evidently, you have perfect timing. :-)
Last summer, I was in the middle of hiking a high mountain trail in Big Bend National Park when a thunderstorm came on. The sky became as dark as twilight and the wind blew strong and cold. The rain felt like pebbles hitting my skin as lightning strikes in the canyon preceded deafening thunder. Sheets of rain water flowed down the mountain ravines and across the slippery trail. As quickly as it came, the storm passed leaving rain-kissed plants and rocks glistened in the bright sunlight that warmed and comforted me. The experience had been exciting and frightening. Unfortunately, pictures of my experience are mostly in my mind because I had damaged my digital camera the day before and I only had a phone camera to capture the scenery. Your awesome photo reminds me of my exhilarating experience.
