This doesnt look quite right. The colours seem a bit photoshopped. It looks a bit cartoonish….

  2. Brian Auer Says:

The colors are a bit “Photoshopped”, but it’s nothing that wasn’t already there — you can see how it was created on my blog. As for the shadow, there really wasn’t one visible from this perspective. The sun was almost directly overhead.

    lovely shot and composition

  4. Keith Says:

    Top class stuff. Well done.

  5. Ann Says:

I do not normally prefer landscape images in portrait mode/ however I think this scene lends itself. It is a nice scene. One question is this more than one image joined together?

Beautiful sky and clouds! The portrait view really works well with it!

  9. TomBrooklyn Says:

Where are the doors on that barn? Is it unused?

  10. Brian Auer Says:

@Ann — It’s just one image. I shot it at 10mm with a 1.5x crop, so 15mm equiv. The lens has over 100 degrees of viewing angle, so the sky at the top was just about directly overhead.

@TomBrooklyn — No doors, and not used. It’s just an old barn living out its days, waiting to collapse.

An excellent composition, with the clouds leading to the main subject. Including lots of sky and the wide angle really accentuate the minisculeness of human artifacts.

  12. Pauline Jones Pauline Jones Says:

I like the composition; it could have been photoshopped but not necessarily. I have taken shots of pure blue skies myself and they can come put pretty clear.

  13. Ann Says:

Thank you very much for your answer to my query.Good lock with your photography.

  14. Jamie Says:

Once again, excellent composition. A+ shot!
