We may be a little hesitant to say that we like this image but these guys are only making a living. If I thought that anyone was trying to steal my food I would growl at them too.

Hi
I personally fail to understand any hesitaion to like or dislike an image that merely shows life at it’s core, are we any different? as you say you would growl too !!! this image depicts life in it’s essence !!

If she caught that in the condition she appears to be in, she deserves every bite. If that is how they normally look, then working with that girth means they earned it too!

I don’t like to be bothered while I’m eating either. Cool shot though.

One of the most realistic photos that I’ve seen on this. Have seen scenes like this myself in Kruger. Love it!

This is a very nicely framed shot. What particularly stands out for me is that how color is helping to bring the attention to the main object of contention in this photograph, which is the prey . The entire image is in shades of green/greenish brown but only the carcas is in the contrasting Red color. This is giving a lot of strength to the image. A little bit of saturation could have helped though.

Excellent capture. Look at him grinning!

That’s such a beautiful photo. I love all the neutral colours then the literal raw red of what appears to be the reamins of a bufallo.
The look the hyena on the right is giving you is priceless. Those eyes look as though they could burn a hole through metal. It’s funny how a simple expression can leave you terrfied, and that hyena is just… Wow.
All the rips and tears in the left hyenas ears, along with the look the right hyena is threatening you with, really give you an insight on how difficult it must be to be a wild animal!
I love how long Spotted Hyena’s front legs are; they almost look human.

Thats the way life is, eat or be eaten, great capture, much better than the hyena just concentrating on his meal.
