Icescape
by Will
A shot from my first trip with a digital camera. Taken in Patagonia (Chile), the lumps of ice have broken off the glacier in the distance.
Equipment: Minolta Dymage 7i

Wow! That scenery is just beautiful. I just wish I could be there right now. The blue sky is just beautiful, it makes a perfect silhouette as well as the backround mountains. The lumps of ice really make the picture stand out. Incredible photo. Well done!

This is a fabulous photo. I especially love how you can see the details of the landscape in the far-off mountain range. The reflection of the sunlight on the ice makes it just sparkle. You’ve captured the scenery just perfect.

Great angle and DOF. The blues are beautiful and the odd ice shapes are perfect!

A truly inspiring vision of the Earth. Let us all vow to keep it that way!

It is simply awesome .Which i was there at the moment ,it is surely better than suffering because of the summer heat.

Way to get down to get the shot.

I like the translucent ice and the low angle.

Great shot and “I didn’t know they had ice or a glacier in Chile.” WoW! God bless you.

This is a very nice shot and I love the POV and composition. I do think the blue haze is a little bit too much (the snow on the mountain in the back should be pure white)and the picture is slightly underexposed if you ask me. Good shot anyway!

Will, this is a great shot! Shows great construction, a skillful eye and a sense of drama in the photo as well with the melting ice….a comment on global warming perhaps.
Love it

I think the exposure is just right; thanks for bringing us a view of the earth that we wouldn’t otherwise know existed.

I like how clear and blue the picture is. The POV is great – it gives us a sharp view of the ground to all the way to the far distance. It’s such an interesting shot. I love it.

The thing I appreciate most about this photo is your vantage point–a low shot across that spectacular icy water. Rich colors and perfect exposure make this a standout. Nice work, Will!
