Wow! I like the puff that the geyser emits, the photo is stunning as well. the ground really makes the puff stand out. Yellowstone park is quite a place that beholds beauty. Great photo. Well done!

What’s in the foreground on the ground? It doesn’t look real. Has this been heavily photoshoped? If so, what does it have to do with real Mother Earth? I don’t get it.

The foreground is probably chemical residue brought up from deep underground by the geyser and deposited as the water evaporated. There could also be coloring in it from the bacteria that live in these conditions. In other words it is most likely real. Another amazing shot of our beautiful Earth.

The foreground colors are created by bacteria mats that thrive off the hot sulfur rich water that is emitted by the gyser.
