What is the F number for this shot. because I am told that for a good starburst pattern as seen here, one has to choose a smaller aperture.

Great shot! I check back almost every day here and it seems HDR is becoming more and more popular. I assume by the tonal range here that it’s an HDR image?
It’ll be interesting how ‘accepted’ HDR becomes in the mainstream community. The goal I guess is to make the composition look as real as possible, but not overly surreal or unreal.

wow! that is spectacular. the forest, sun, rays, mountains and the sky really add up to the sensation of this photo. God’s creation is incredibly beautiful. Most people don’t appreciate the beauty that is out there or don’t even realize what beauty nature beholds. superb photo. well done Dean!

I use Photomatix Matt. I also use NIK filters, and I dodge and burn as needed,
