Twin Rubies
by Matt Bango
As winter starts to release it's grip, there is nothing like seeing a wild Cardinal in the woods, it's like a breath of fresh air. In this instance there were two male Cardinals sitting very close to each other and I hurried to capture the moment. Their brilliant red reminded me of rubies, hence the photo title.

Great shot, we don’t see them in Alberta, at least I have not seen them

I’ve tried to capture a few cardinal photos in my day, and it’s hard. There aren’t that many of them in my neck of the woods and they don’t sit in one spot long enough to get a good shot. I can truly appreciate when someone gets a decent photo of one. This is an excellent photo of two. Great job!

BEAUTIFUL! The lighting captures the intense red on these wonderful birds perfectly. There are some other great shots on Matt’s website…you should check it out! Matt are you sure you are pursuing the right degree?

Spectacular set of birds, with a title that describes them perfectly. What a treasure, to come upon them at the same time, Matt.

I like the color scheme – saturated red on an almost white background.
