Mottled Mom & Brood

Although similar in appearance to a black duck (blue wing patch lacks the white borders), this is a photograph of Mottled ducks. I observed this family for some time in hopes of catching a special image. Luck that the mother duck hopped up on a log and her ducklings followed creating a wonderful arrangement. This is one of my favorite waterfowl images due to the mother pose and fabulous head positions of the young.

I loved your sandhill crane photo on the 16th and this one is equally appealing. It looks like to spent time posing each member of the family. Like the sandhill crane photo, this one is perfect!

Wonderful and enjoyable shot. I wonder what the odds would be to find such a perfect pose again. This is amazing for 6 ducks!! Great work.

This is quite cute. It reminds me of all the ducks at my grandparents place. Ducks have so much character!

This is really cute. Very sharp picture aswell, good exposure and great warm colors. I just find it too bad that you cut off the reflection of the mother-duck. I also think the thing (part of a log?) in the left lower corner is a little distracting.
