Estimated at around 6000 years old, these 3 stones are all that remains of a larger circle, beleieved to be part of an ancient fertility ritual, whereby the young female would be passed through the circle 9 times. At certain times, these 3 stones are also in perfect alignment with the rising moon. Cornwall, England.

Born and bred in the south of England, I am a keen amateur photographer, currently taking an opportunity to retrain myself from scratch. I only have use of a compact digital camera, but with a reasonable amount of manual control I try to get the best out of it and myself.
My preferred subjects are landscapes, particularly the diversity of the countryside on my doorstep.

Nigel - excellent composition with strong colours and fine pov. Great thought process leading the eye from the grass to the stones and finally the blue sky. although it appears some PS work might have been done on the sky. overall beautifully captured with your digital compact. TFS

You have surely made good use of a compact camera here.I always advocate that it is the photographer with an eye and a skill that will create the best photos. Well done this is a nice image. Good subject and thank you for the history and biography.
