Mavericks Big Wave Competition 2006 - California

In short I love photography and its one of the few activities that I find both calming and rewarding. The art of photography is something that I’ve found to be an endless personal challenge and learning experience. These days I shoot with a Canon 1D Mark II and when I’m lucky use even better equipment either through the generosity of friends or the lure of cold hard cash at my local camera rental shop.

Very nice, I really like it. Lots of action going on. the succession of the breaking waves, the perfect placement of the surfer. The fact that he? is wearing a complimentary yellow top.All combine to make this a tremendous shot.
