Detail of the face of a lion (Panthera leo). It is the dominant male of a pride of eleven lions located on Aroe Waterhole. Etosha National Park (Namibia).

I was born in Oviedo (Spain), in 1971. I studied Biology at the Oviedo University. I worked during many years in brown bears (Ursus arctos), wolf (Canis lupus signatus) and red fox (Vulpes vulpes) research projects. Now I'm freelance wildlife photographer since 1994, especialized in wildlife and landscapes, but also travel and other reports.

The king of beasts always impresses me. I love the way they prowl across the savannah to capture their prey. beautiful creature of God’s creation. stunning capture. well done!

Nicely managed Exposure. Highlights were not burnt out and you can pick up detail of the lions face. Lions have great photopresence

The King indeed. I Know he wont appreciate it,but if he was human he would thank you for such a gorgeous portrait. He looks so handsome and full of character. You have done a great job here.I love it.
