At Last

I have taken a lot of pictures within 300 meters of this spot now, which is about 5km from my home. I had had the idea to take this kinda shot for 2 months and at last the conditions were ideal. I used the 10mm and a Hoya 400ND which took the shutter time to 20 seconds.
The rocks you see are quite close to the camera and you can see the rock on which the camera was positioned. It was all very wet, risked my 350D for the greater good and took 12 pictures. This one was the best. I hope you’ll appreciate the mystical atmosphere, light and colors.

I’m particularly interested in people captured in a perfect moment, documentary style. Yes, I love the great Magnum photographers and especially their B&W’s. Their pictures tell a compelling story and to achieve that is very diffcult. Both women and landscapes are my second love.

The trees in the distance, the glow of the sun off the water, and simply the colours make this a FANTASTIC shot, well done!

This is one of the most amazing shots I’ve seen in while, and I am a sunset person. Thank for waiting for just the right moment. I also love b&w but it could never do justice to a sunset sky!!!!!!!

I agree with Eileen (above), A b&w photo could never do justice to a sunset sky. Saying that, the photo has a spectacular display of sunset colours. The water below goes great against the beautiful sunset. One of the most beautiful sunset picture I have ever seen. Stunning photo. Well done!
