Beautiful shot. I’d love to travel places to see animals like these in the future.

I love polar bears so much. Polar bears are the biggest land predator on the planet. Great pose, great photo, Well done!

Your shutter speed must be really fast, otherwise you would have got motion(shivering) blur!!!

Very interesting overall scene. I just feel the crop is a little too tight in the bottom and in the righthandside. I also think you underexposed just a wee bit as the snow is not pure white (but perhaps it wasn’t in reality).

I like your composition. I do agree with van der Horst on the crop being a bit too tight. Nice lighting on the polar bear. But is it me or is there a lot of noise in this picture?

Very brave of you to make eye contact with such a mighty creature. He looks so cute and cuddly yet at the same time looking as if he could pounce at any time. I like this image maybe not technically perfect but it has heart and soul and a great essence .

yes maybe not a perfect shot (other comments) but wonderful nethertheless and a true earthshot is about the diversity of our planet not trying to win on techinical details.

I know the feeling, as I once did this with a black bear in alaska, I would love to share this moment with you, if you would take a moment to have a look at my site, there is a pencil drawing I did of the shot I took that broke the stare.
it was an amazing moment in my life as I am sure this one was for you, and I admire it with a special connection we have had in sharing similar experiences with one of natures most impressive animals, fantastic shot! I could look at it for hours.
