Grand Canyon Southern Rim

Probably one of the most spectacular views of the Grand Canyon. The late afternoon's light deepend the yellow and orange colors and hues, contrasting them against the cool colors of the sky.

Thank you all very much for the great comments and compliments on my Grand Canyon Photo. The South Rim road offers some of the best views of the canyon you can get, allowing you to sight down it rather than across. I was just lucky enough to get to this spot at the perfect time of day – very late afternoon, where the late day sunlight brought out even more of the deep orange, browns, and even blues of the river and the afternoon sky. – Phil B.
